2019 ESA Asia-Pacific Meeting

The 2019 Asia-Pacific Meeting of the ESA will be held at New York University in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from January 23rd (Wednesday - Reception) to January 26th (Saturday).

The campus of NYU Abu Dhabi is located on Saadiyat Island, 5 minutes drive from the turquoise-blue waters of Saadiyat beach, 7 minutes from the new Louvre Abu Dhabi museum, 10 minutes from the city center of Abu Dhabi, an hour from (futuristic) Dubai, and an hour from the Empty Quarter -- the largest continuous sand desert in the world.

Abu Dhabi is a dynamic, modern and multi-cultural city. End of January is one of the best times of the year to visit Abu Dhabi with average temperatures of 25/16 degrees Celsius (77/61 Fahrenheit).

The campus has many laboratories, student workshops and master classes. Also here students can learn about the possibility of professional writing help from experienced experts to improve the quality of their research papers and develop writing skills.

• To submit an abstract (no full paper required), go to ESA Website and log in.


• (If you have not paid your ESA membership fees for 2019 yet, you will need to do that before paper submission. Go to Account -> Renew membership.)


• Choose Conferences -> 2019 ESA Asia-Pacific Meeting, Abu Dhabi, UAE -> Submit Talk. You only need to submit an abstract, a full manuscript is not required.

• After your paper is accepted for the conference, you will need to register for the conference.


• Go to ESA Website and log in.


• Choose Conferences -> 2019 ESA Asia-Pacific Meeting, Abu Dhabi, UAE -> Register.

• We have arranged two special tours to enable you to experience a bit of what distinguishes the UAE. Advance booking is required for these tours, prior to your arrival at the conference. (The rates listed below are subject to a minimum of 20 individuals signing up.) The tours will take place on the last day of the conference.


• 1. Desert Experience (180 AED)


• Experience the Empty Quarter - the largest continuous sand desert in the world. The tour includes: Camel ride, dune bashing, sand boarding, bellydancer show, tanorah dance, live BBQ dinner, unlimited soft drink and water. An experience not to be missied!


• 2. Dubai City Tour (225 AED)


• Experience the futuristic city of Dubai. The tour includes: visit to the Jumerah Palm, a tour of the Monorail palm, a stop at Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world), a cruise on the Dubai creek using an Abra taxi, and a visit to the Dubai mall (the second largest in the world).


• In addition, upon your arrival, you will be able to book tours to see Abu Dhabi, and visit the new Louvre Abu Dhabi museum which is only minutes away from NYU Abu Dhabi.
